The gig: Social Media and Community Coordinator

Terms: Freelance, 5-10 hours per week

Rolling Hills Media (RHM) is an all-remote digital marketing agency. We work with a variety of clients, predominantly in the wine industry. We are looking for an experienced, passionate and creative Social Media and Community Manager to join our team of badass marketing professionals.
 

About the gig
This is a part-time role, perfect for freelancers. Our clients are mostly boutique wineries that leverage social media to promote their products, share their stories, and cultivate new interest in their wines. A deep knowledge or interest in the wine industry is not required, but generally preferred in order to deliver on the tone and branding of our clients, as well as engage authentically with their audience. 
 

As a Social Media Coordinator you will manage the creation and curation of content for a number of the brands’ social media accounts that we work with. You’ll develop templates and creative, which will involve working in design tools (i.e. Canva; Photoshop) as well as taking your own photographs. (Perk: We’ll send you the wine and glassware for these photos!)

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Implement and manage the social media strategy of our clients 

  • Create and curate content

  • Manage and oversee social media posting and audience engagement

  • Track and organize KPIs

  • Measure the success of social media campaigns

Qualifications

  • Because this role will be working with alcohol you must be 21+ years of age

  • 2-4 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role

  • Proficiency in Canva and/or other content design tools

  • Strong photography, video and editing skills for social media 

  • Great storytelling, writing and communication skills 

  • Excellent knowledge in how to best use social media for brand awareness and reach

  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Instagram and TikTok

  • Good understanding of social media KPIs

  • Self-motivated, with excellent multitasking and organizational skills

 

Nice to Have
Facebook/social advertising experience
